Narmada Prerna Yatra is a transformative initiative founded by Nitin Tailor, whose life journey from humble beginnings to social leadership was guided by the divine flow of Maa Narmada. Leaving a successful corporate career, he dedicated himself to social change, inspired by the river’s timeless spirituality, resilience, and nurturing spirit. The Yatra creates soulful experiences that reconnect participants with nature, values, and their inner calling.
During the Narmada Prerna Yatra, participants engage with inspiring individuals and grassroots organizations driving positive change. These experiences offer practical insights, motivation, and a deeper understanding of social service. Each visit encourages self-growth and a lifelong commitment to serve society.
Narmada Prerna Yatra transformed my life by awakening purpose through Maa Narmada and inspiring role models. Aligned with the vision of Serve Happiness Foundation, I now serve as a core team member and Director, contributing to happiness and community empowerment.

Being part of this Yatra gave me a new perspective on life. Interacting with people from diverse backgrounds and witnessing real grassroots challenges was deeply inspiring. The journey expanded my circle, filled me with positivity, and strengthened my confidence to dream and walk the road less traveled with courage.

An engineering graduate from GTU, Dhruv participated in Narmada Prerna Yatra (2014 & 2015) and created a documentary on the Yatra. The journey inspired him to work for social impact. Today, he is General Manager at Encube Labs and leads MakerYatra, empowering rural children through innovation in agriculture, robotics, and engineering.

Yati joined the Narmada Prerna Yatra in 2016 during her graduation at Banasthali University. The Yatra exposed her to grassroots realities of the social sector and shaped her path. She is now a Gandhi Fellow, with Serve Happiness Foundation playing a key role in her journey.

During the Narmada Prerna Yatra, I deeply felt the energy of Maa Narmada while sharing the journey with my son and friends. The experience connected me to nature, inspiring role models, and impactful social organizations, leaving me with clarity, harmony, and a renewed purpose to serve society.

Narmada Prerna Yatra opened my world beyond healthcare, connecting me with people across agriculture, education, sanitation, and social work. Meeting inspiring role models and witnessing grassroots realities transformed my perspective and helped me return with clarity, compassion, and lessons to grow as a better human being.

An engineering graduate from PDPU Gandhinagar, Maharshi participated in the first Narmada Prerna Yatra (2014) and also the part of our core team. Inspired by the experience, he founded FARM Bridge Social Support Foundation, working with farmers across villages to promote livelihood and training programs.

Prakash, a PhD scholar in Yoga and solo traveler across India, reflects that like a mother, a river inspires the body, awakens the mind, and enlightens the soul—this Yatra became his first step toward inner transformation. A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step - this was without an iota of doubt - the first one !
